'High fidelity' is one of the classic love story about Rob Gordon, an owner of a record music shop. He was trying to find his mistakes in his past relationship with girls. He was looking back his life by introducing one by one the girls that he used to date before through his top five most memorable breakup. All the girls left him except for one, Penny. However, he was most affected when he broke up with Laura. In the movie, Rob desperately wanted Laura back in his life and it proved when he waited for Laura outside of her house in the raining. While he was trying to get Laura back, he also reflected his life and wondered why he failed in love. Finally, he managed to correct his mistakes and learned what love is all about. He also got Laura back in his life, the girl he was really in love.

From the movie, the most obvious issue that the author highlighted was love does not need to be perfect. In the normal love fictions, the heroin and the hero always being described as someone who is really perfect, from the physical, until the well-being of his/her life. However, in 'High Fidelity', Rob Gordon was only an ordinary man, an owner of a record music shop who was also a flaw character. Apart from that, the common love story always tell us about a guy meets a girl and then they fall in love. Throughout their relationship, many obstacles would come out which can hinder them from staying together. And normally, in the end, they can still live happily ever after. In this movie, it was very contradict to the common love fictions. It was about a guy who consistently failed in love, trying to find his mistakes and to correct them.

After watching the movie, I cannot found which character I like most. It was because the story was mainly about Rob Gordon and his life. Therefore, he was the one who involved much in the story. However, I did find Rob's friend, Dick, was quite interesting. He was quiet and more polite compared to the other characters. He seemed innocent and soft-hearted person. In the movie, he was like an observer in Rob's life. Finally, he also found his love and they really suit each other. It was so sweet to see his character beacause for me, the other characters were quite undecent.

Obviously in the movie, Rob and Laura seemed to be a perfect couple who finally stayed together. Nevertheless for me, it would be more interesting if more conflict arrived when they were together. I suggest that Laura's ex-boyfriend, Ian, will come and and take revenge to Rob for stealing his girlfriend. And then they will fight each other to win Laura's heart. It would be more appealing if they do some stupid things just to get Laura back in their heart. It will create more excitement and hillarious. Here, as the viewers we can see whether Rob has really changed his attitude or not.
